Twenty-five motorcycles rolled through the streets of Milwaukee and into the parking lot at Capitol Stampings Corp on Saturday September 16, 2006. The riders were on a tour to see some of the great things that are made in Milwaukee. The event was the sixth annual Made in Milwaukee Tour; an annual fundraiser coordinated by the 30th Street Industrial Corridor Corporation.
The tour is designed to showcase successful businesses in the 30th Street Industrial Corridor and throughout the central city. Organizers wanted to see what was new at Capitol Stampings one year after the change of ownership that kept the business and the jobs in the “Corridor.” Capitol’s President Gary Wenzel and his team treated 40 tour participants to a behind the scenes look at the operations, which were in full swing that morning.
