test2The Benefits of Buying Local
Paricon and its affiliates have been manufacturing sleds in America since 1861 under the Flexible Flyer name.
In the recent past, Paricon had sourced one of its snow saucers to Taiwan to be made at a very low and competitive rate. But when Capitol Stampings re-engineered an old tooling process and re-quoted the business to include stamping, finishing and assembly, Paricon quickly saw the benefits of buying local.
Now Paricon receives a higher quality product and can place orders without the long lead-times and response times associated with international sourcing.
“Because of Capitol Stampings’ innovative manufacturing methods, I am now able to source this product domestically. This has allowed me tremendous flexibility in ordering product and to quickly react to increased demand. Plus, the quality of the product I’m getting from Capitol surpasses what I’ve received from past sources,” says Ted Morton, Vice President of Paricon.

A Word of Thanks from Maysteel

Hi Gary & Team,
I would like to take a minute to thank Capitol for your proactive/open approach to this business. You’ve demonstrated that Maysteel is important to you.
I appreciate all the work that has been done to make sure documentation, inspections and shipments are in order. I also appreciate the many times your people are scrambling to help us meet some unexpected demand from our customers.
Your team’s visit yesterday and the great follow-up are just a couple more examples of this.
Please extend my personal thanks to everyone there involved in the Maysteel business. We’ve still got a few things to work on, but I am confident we are working with a supplier who will help us get there expeditiously.
Kind Regards,
Mike
